All Purple HDPE reclaimed tubing products are marked with the name VPFL as the manufacturer, reclaimed water name, nominal size, design pressure rating and temperature ratings, relevant ASTM standards number, manufacturing date and production code, with incremental footage markings, and are indent marked for permanent identification.
Purple High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe for reclaimed or gray water service applications produced by Seymour offers many advantages of HDPE such as:

Seymour’s Purple tubing is available in 1/2" - 2" sizes, CTS-OD (Copper Tube Size - Outside Diameter), SDR-9 (manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2737) and 1" IPS-ID, SIDR-7 (manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2239). This tubing has a 200 psi rating at 73.4°F.

Easily identified with its purple colour-coded high HDPE (PE 4710), Seymour’s Purple HDPE tubing is produced with a purple (Pantone® 522 C) UV stabilized outer layer incrementally marked and indent printed. The outer layer contains pigments and ultraviolet stabilizers to meet the cell classification 345464E per ASTM D 3350 and meets the colour coding requirements of some industry standards.

Seymour’s Purple reclaimed and gray water pipe has a core of HDPE containing sufficient carbon black ultraviolet light protection to meet the cell classification 345464C per ASTM D 3350, for long-term UV protection.

Purple reclaimed water tubing may be stored and used in direct sunlight for up to five years. It is not listed for potable water use and must not be used for the transport of drinking water.
